Welcome to the desert princess blog

We believe as owners of Desert Princess Country Club that we have a right to unfiltered information on how our money is spent and the polices and rules that are being enacted.  Our goal with this blog is to provide unfiltered factual information directly to you the homeowner.
We are not affiliated with Desert Princess HOA , its Management.  This is an independent group of concerned homeowners at Desert Princess Country Club.

I appreciate your desire to create a forum for communication among neighbors. I have some concerns, though -
How can you guarantee that unfiltered information will actually be factual? This claim concerns me.
The implication about having rights to know how money is spent and rules enacted is that these rights are not currently being respected...that the HOA Board is not being transparent. What do you base this on?
It also concerns me that you have not identified who you are, as the host to this site. Please be more forthcoming.

The idea of this forum is very welcome. We have long needed a way to discuss among ourselves. I admire that to leave a reply, the commenter's name is "required." When one knows that his identity will be seen, one is more thoughtful and deliberate, much less likely to "pop-off." So it is discouraging to see more and more commenters avoid identity by providing in the name box some fictitious reference.

Since the Management Trust is a for profit business an "incentive" should be set up that would share some percentage of operational savings that would go to the trust. As it stands there is no incentive for the trust to do anything other than pass on costs to the "homeowners. Not suggesting that we should retain our current "management trust" based on their lack of imagination and job proformance.
