The purpose of this Virtual Meeting is to discuss the Proposed HOA & Country Club Entity Merger. Homeowners have been asked the submit questions before the meeting. Why is this being called a Town hall when it is going to be a one way conversation to promote the merger? The Board will be summarizing and selecting the questions, controlling the narrative and conducting a one way conversation with the homeowners (just like the monthly Board meetings). Why has the board restricted the homeowner right to a two-way conversation?
Below is the information on the Virtual Town Hall. Please attend. We all have an obligation to make a fully informed decision on the merger vote. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A mortgage company declined my application because Desert Princess does NOT separate finances between the HOA and the Country Club. Stating IF the restaurant or golf entity should have financial difficulties, the Home Owners would become liable and subject to assessments to fill the financial needs of the Club. The two entities should be separate corporations.

The takeaway from yesterday's Town Hall regarding the merger proposal is 1) The Board could not provide answers and clarifications to the issues presented by the owners; 2) the Board reiterated it has no idea if the merger has anything to do with DP being placed on the Do Not Loan list and 3) Owners are angry and articulated the fact they do not trust this Board to proceed with the merger.

How much more are we going to allow this board to make decisions without them telling us after the fact?

This Board has become so authoritarian and controlling, it's a shame moat owners haven't realized that. Has anyone else noticed that the Desert Princess Weekly Herald has been less than informative and encouraging , but decidedly more about rule enforcement, week after week after week. This Board lacks any sense of cohesive community and is focused more on inane control, retribution and monetary penalties. We have an opportunity to change this at the end if February. It IS true we elect the governance we deserve. Vote for Change!
